Women's Health Care

BHC encourages sexually active teens, young adults and women of childbearing age to get regular check-ups and screenings to assure on-going health maintenance. This also promotes good outcomes for women who are considering starting a family. Women aging from 15 to 44 years of age should receive annual cervical cancer screenings, gynecological examinations, and receive health education information on how to perform self-breast exams. Women over the age of 40 with certain family history diseases are referred annually for mammograms and other diagnostic tests.
